दृश्यविहीन बालबालिका माझमा चर्चित लेखक महेश पौड्यालको एकल बालकथा वाचन कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न

बालसाहित्य प्रतिष्ठान नेपालद्वारा फरक क्षमता र फरक परिवेशका बालबालिकाहरु माझमा आयोजना हुँदै आएको माउन्ट एभेरष्ट स्टोरी टेलिङ एक्सप्रेस कार्यक्रम अन्तर्गत यस पटक दृश्यविहीन बालबालिका माझमा चर्चित लेखक महेश पौड्यालको एकल बालकथा वाचन तथा क्यारियर काउन्सिलिङ कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको    छ ।
लेबरोटरी स्कुल, कीर्तिपुरमा आयोजित कार्यक्रममा त्यस विद्यालयमा अध्ययनरत ४० जना दृश्यविहीन बालबालिकाहरु र १० जना शिक्षकहरु सहभागि थिए । लेबरोटरी स्कुलका प्रिन्सिपल डा. लाक्पा शेर्पाको सभापतित्व र चर्चित लेखक महेश पौड्यालको प्रमुख आतिथ्यतामा सम्पन्न यस कार्यक्रममा दृश्यविहीन शिक्षकहरु रमेश सुवेदी, सीता सुवेदी र ब्लाइन्ड सेक्सनका संयोजक समिता शाक्य र प्रतिष्ठानका अध्यक्ष कार्तिकेय, आध्यात्मिक चिन्तक सुबोध रेग्मी, कवि महेश बाबु लगायतले रचना वाचन गर्नुभएको थियो ।

  लेबरोटरी स्कुलका प्रिन्सिपल डा. लाक्पा शेर्पाको शुभकामना मन्तव्यपछि सुरु भएको कार्यक्रमको शुभारम्भमा लेखक महेश पौड्यालले आफ्ना चर्चित कथा हजुरआमा वाचन गर्नु भएको थियो । त्यसपछि उहाँले त्यो अन्तिम मृग लगायत अन्य प्रेरणादायी कथाहरु वाचन गर्नु भएको थियो ।

कार्यक्रमको बिचबिचमा दृश्यविहीन बालबालिका र शिक्षकहरुले आआफ्नो प्रतिभा प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको थियो । कार्यक्रममा दृश्यविहीन बालबालिकाहरुले आफ्नो क्यारियर कसरी सफल बनाउन सकिन्छ ? कसरी असल विद्यार्थी बन्न सकिन्छ ? लगायत प्रश्नहरुमा छलफल गरेका थिए । बालबालिकाहरुको सक्रिय सहभागिता रहेको यस कार्यक्रममा उनीहरु असाध्यै रमाएका देखिन्थे । कार्यक्रमको अन्त्यमा सहभागी बालालिका तथा शिक्षकशिक्षिकाहरुलाई बिहानको खानाको व्यवस्था गरिएको थियो ।
सीएलएफएनको यस कार्यक्रम अध्यक्ष कार्तिकेयका ममतामयी आमा दुर्गादेवी घिमिरे (देवनायकी रामानुजदासी) को स्मृतिमा सौजन्य सहयोगमा सम्पन्न भएको थियो ।

उक्त कार्यक्रममा ब्रेल पुस्तकालयका लागि ७ थरी बालपुस्ततकहरु उपहार प्रदान गरिएको थिायो । जुन यस प्रकार रहेका छन् :
१. पिङ्की र पुतलीहरु (वरिष्ठ लेखक जलेश्वरी श्रेष्ठ लिखित बालकथाहरु)
२. सुँगा हाँस्यो (वरिष्ठ लेखक मनोरमा जफा लिखित बालकथाहरुको नेपाली संस्करण)
३. को ठूलो (वरिष्ठ लेखक गंगा पौडेल लिखित बालकथाहरु)
४. साँच्चैको हिरो हो कृष्णबहादुर (बालसाहित्य लेखक कार्तिकेय लिखित बालकथाहरु)
५. म चोर होइन ( बालसाहित्य लेखक कार्तिकेय लिखित बालकथाहरु)
६. वाहा ! दुनोट पसलेकी छोरी (बालसाहित्य लेखक कार्तिकेय लिखित बालकथाहरु)
७. पिङ्की एण्ड बटरफ्लाइज (वरिष्ठ लेखक जलेश्वरी श्रेष्ठ लिखित बालकथाहरुको अंग्रेजी संस्करण अनुवादक : महेश पौड्याल)

Meeting between CLFN President Kartikeya and AWIC/IBBY-India President Smt. Nilima Sinha


Shri Kartikeya, President of Children’s Literature Foundation Nepal (CLFN) and Smt. Nilima Sinha, President of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children (AWIC) IBBY-India have had a harmonious meeting. On the occasion, deliberations were made on how these two non-governmental organizations can collaborate in their missions to develop high-quality reading materials and promote reading culture.
During the meeting, CLFN President Kartikeya gifted the IBBY Delhi Chief some six Braille books and a few fully-colored and illustrated English books for children, published by CLFN.
Veteran writer of children’s literature Smt. Neelima Sinha briefed Kartikeya about her career as a writer. A short clip of the video showing the conversation between the two has been uploaded on the Facebook page of CLFN. In the video talk, author Sinha has revealed that she was drawn into children’s literature writing after being inspired by the works of world famous author Enid Blyton. She briefed that when her enthusiasm in writing enhanced later, she took more interest in writing heroic and fantastic stories for young adults with characters picked from local and immediate environment. Additionally, the award conferred upon by the National Book Trust, India boosted her morale to develop her authorial personality, she said.
During the meeting, the two agreed to initiate a planning to organize exhibitions of books and illustrations in Kathmandu and New Delhi in future. They also held serious discussions on what the two organizations can do to hone the skills of writers and illustrators in both the countries.
During the meeting, the two agreed that CLFN shall collaborate with IBBY to translate into Nepali and publish high-quality books prepared by AWIC and to publish and promote in Nepali those books awarded and lauded by AWIC and prepared by authors and illustrators associated with AWIC. They also agreed that some books authored by veteran write Sinha herself shall also be translated and published in Nepali and Braille by CLFN in the near future.

CLFN family welcomes Smt. Nilima Sinha, who visited Kathmandu together with her renowned politician husband Yashwant Sinha, and wishes her family trip a great success. The Foundation also thanks her for allocating her precious time for it. The two-hour meeting with her has inspired CLFN to think how it can move ahead in future, for which CLFN family is deeply indebted to her.

CLFN Features Storyteller Mahesh Paudyal among Visually-impaired Children

Children’s Literature Foundation Nepal (CLFN) featured renowned author and storyteller Mahesh Paudyal among visually-impaired children at Laboratory High School, Kirtipur on Wednesday as a part of the Mount Everest Storytelling Express Programme. Paudyal, a university lecturer of English literature by profession, is a celebrated critic, storywriter and translator, and has authored seven books for children, and edited and translated more than three dozen works of other authors from Nepali into English. In the event, he told stories to the children, recited poetry and delivered a motivational lecture aimed at boosting the morale of the children.
  Together with him, spiritual thinker Yogi Subodh Regmi, CLFN's President Kartikeya and talented young poet Bibas Babu told stories and motivated the children. Ramesh Subedi, renowned music composer and singer sang words penned by Mr. Paudyal. 
The session was chaired by Dr. Lakpa Sherpa, Principal of the School.
